Because this year is heavy in development and new lessons are going online each week, we are unable to update the schedule/guide until June 2022 when all the Living Lessons for each grade will be done. After that date we will update the guides as needed.
We had hoped to update the guides monthly as new lessons are posted. However, the process of developing, uploading, coding to the website and posting new lessons has been overwhelming and the fast pace has made it impossible to update the guides without them becoming irrelevant the next week.
At this time, we recommend the following method:
-
Choose if you want to use the PDFs or the Living Lessons as your base curriculum.
-
If you want to use the PDFs (Lesson Planners) then you will use them as is and check your Living Lessons pages for Living Lessons that might compliment what you are doing that week or day. The lessons are easy to find and identify as we have organized them all by block and have given them very descriptive titles.
-
If you want to use the Living Lessons as your main lessons, then you will go to your Living Lessons page and do one block at a time. We recommend doing one video every three days. The student will watch the video the first day to be exposed to the lesson, the second day they will rewatch for memory, the third day they will do a writing or drawing based on the lesson in their Main Lesson Book. If you need additional ideas for lessons and assignments, you can check the corresponding Earthschooling PDFs (Lesson Planners). It is easy to find the corresponding topics because all the planners are clearly labelled according to block name.
