New experiences await Buzzy and his friend, John Hoffman, as Rafting Down River continues with new friends, new experiences, unexpected turns–and a new-found appreciation for coming home.

It is the autumn of 1955 in the Catskill Mountain town of Delhi, New York. John Hoffman and Buzzy Fancher are suspended their first day in ninth grade for a prank set up by some senior boys. Disgraced, they set off on a raft down the west branch of the Delaware River and have numerous adventures including an encounter with a tough river gang, a narrow escape from the police, and a night spent in a haunted house. Their trip takes an unexpected turn when they befriend a lively but troubled farm girl and decide to help her find her mother and brother.
