When this book arrived on my doorstep, the first thing I noticed was its beauty. The cover and pictures are done in the typical Waldorf style by the lovely Robyn Wolfe of Waldorfish.
As a children’s book on the temperaments I was curious how Kristie would weave the elements into the story. She did an amazing job! From the colors of the actual pages to the colorful characters within the book this is a feast for the senses.
We follow Analise on her journey through the magical world of seasons to find her “other parts” and return with the help of many along the way.
As she travels to each season, animals and quirky characters are introduced to help the reader understand that “season” aka temperament.
It is filled with imagery and values on working together, helping and balance.
This is gift to all parents wanting to help their children indirectly understand behavior of themselves and siblings. With over 160 beautiful pages, is truly a book to add to your bookshelves. Enjoy as a read aloud or chapter book for older children.
My 12 year old “stole” the book while I was reading and we both devoured it and then talked about the story. She loved it and it helped her come to terms with her sister’s fiery summer temperament.
