From Angela:
What a delightful surprise to find a documentary with such compelling paintings and descriptions of life at Spadarvet for Carl Larsson in his family. Despite not having a “story” in the traditional sense of the word, I find that my children and I are reaching for this book again and again to be transported to the nineteenth century life. We examine all of the details in the pictures, notice what the children are doing, the things in the rooms or the ways they spent their time, captured and recorded in Carl Larsson’s beautiful watercolor paintings. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
