Note: Once you have completed Planner One you can do the rest of the year’s planners in any order.
Holiday and seasonal activities for January are included in Planner Six. However, they are provided as extras so if you are living in an area of the world where the season is different or you don’t celebrate a certain holiday you will not be left out – you will still have a full month of activities!
SPECIFICS: In Planner Six students will continue to work on science projects and hear many science stories including stories about the water cycle, chickadees, moths, butterflies, the stars, herbs, plants, animal skills and more. Students will learn about Native American symbols through nature, Students will learn new handwork skills including how to work with a spool knitter, how to knit a butterfly and how to knit a bunny. Students will also make a fun wooden toy this month. Students will learn three beautiful pentatonic recorder songs (including “Cloud Stories”) using the unique Earthschooling method.
This monthly planner also comes with mp3s for the basic verses, mp3s for the monthly verses, and three teacher support documents: Waldorf 101, My Waldorf Year Planner and Waldorf Basics.
Themes for this month include: Birth & New Beginnings, The Moon, Lunar & Solar Calendars, and Ice.
