Description
Instruction in physics begins in the sixth grade and is linked to what the children have learned in music. We begin the study of physics by allowing acoustics to be born out of music. – Steiner
The student will be formally studying acoustics and other physics concepts in 8th grade. However, to prepare them for the more complex physics lessons that are coming we will be doing some basic experiments this week to get them comfortable with the concepts. This block covers acoustics, optics, magnetism, and thermodynamics. The lessons are largely hands-on lessons with many experiments you can do using common household objects.
