Embracing the Now
Sometimes we want to embrace the now like when we see a gorgeous sunset and other times we want to escape it like the time my youngest child was in the hospital with salmonella poisoning.
There are a lot of philosophies out there. However, if you think about it logically you don’t really have a choice except to accept who you are now and enjoy the now. Because that is all you have there is no guarantee you will be here tomorrow.
There is no guarantee your health will get better – it might get worse.
I’ve complained about a health issue before only to have it get worse and then wish I could have the old issue back.
What you have is the now that is all you have and all you are promised and guaranteed to have.
Because of this we should embrace the now, celebrate it and appreciate it.
