Thursday Thoughts: How to Live Intuitively

For an introduction to my “Tuesday Tips and Thursday Thoughts” series please see the article “An Invitation to Embrace Your Journey and Follow Mine.”

These short thoughts/tips are meant to be a brief and efficient way to offer a quick touch of inspiration for the day.

How to Live Intutitively

When I was younger a lot of people called me stubborn but now that I’m older I can see that I was just “living intuitively” and it upset people when I didn’t do things the “right way”.

Don’t be scared to live intuitively. Even with small things.

For example, since I was young enough to make my own decisions I started washing my hair only once a week. It goes against everything I was taught and read in teen magazines when I was little but now I’m 50 years old and my hair is still healthy (no gray yet either – knock on wood) and I feel better each week.

I feel like my hair/scalp goes through a necessary natural cycle each week and intuitively I never wanted to disrupt that cycle.

This might not work for everyone and that’s the point. We need to be able to trust our intuition enough to know what we need to do with our body and what works for us – even if it perhaps doesn’t make sense to someone else.
