Tuesday Tip: Flowers for a Headache

For an introduction to my “Tuesday Tips and Thursday Thoughts” series please see the article “An Invitation to Embrace Your Journey and Follow Mine.”

These short thoughts/tips are meant to be a brief and efficient way to offer a quick touch of inspiration for the day.

Flowers for a Headache

Flowers are very effective for “head” complaints.

In the world of herbalism there is an old traditional method of figuring out which parts of the plants to use for what. Surprisingly (or not) this “tried and true” method still works today.

Ancient people theorized that since flowers were at the top of the plant and like the “head” that they would also be good for ailments of the head in people.

Some of my favorites are: geranium essential oil to brighten up a low mood, yarrow flowers for fever, linden flowers to relax and feverfew for headaches.
