These short thoughts/tips are meant to be a brief and efficient way to offer a quick touch of inspiration for the day.
Get others involved in your journey
Are you seeking better health and balance in your life? Get others involved and the journey will be easier, more fun, and even more supportive on days that you need it. And getting others involved doesn’t have to be in the traditional way.
Some traditional ways to get others involved are to join a support group, partner with another person on a similar journey, join a gym or club, or post progress on a blog or social media platform.
However, you can also get others involved in ways you might not immediately think of. For example, I’ve gotten my two daughters involved in taking “Instagram fashion photos” of me as a way to have some fun in general but also have some fun with them – and we have!
We’ve had so many laughs and giggles finding “just the right place” for a photo and trying to get mom to pose in ways that don’t look completely silly. Our artistic sides have been having fun too. My eldest daughter discovered she loves photography and we have all really enjoyed matching outfits with locations and being creative in that way.
It’s certainly been a welcome distraction from some of the harder parts of the journey (like discovering I can’t eat ice cream anymore). This photo was taken at IKEA (we had so much fun doing fashion shoots there).
