Tuesday Tip: Saving For Your Well-being

These short thoughts/tips are meant to be a brief and efficient way to offer a quick touch of inspiration for the day.

Saving for Your Well-Being

When I was a little girl and visited my great grandfather he would give each of us children a jar of coins he had been saving from his pocket change. I loved the process of organizing the different coins, counting them, and then discovering that the contents of the jar added up to over $20.00! For a 10-year-old in the 70’s that was a lot of money!

That experience has left an impression on me as well. When I think about it, it reminds me that small things can add up to something bigger – in positive and negative ways.

Just like small changes can make a big impact on our health, small compromises every day (for me it might be drinking coffee and putting up with heart palpitations or drinking milk and coughing for half the day) can also make a significant negative impact on our health.

So let’s make a promise to ourselves that the “coins” we put in our jar every day will add up to something wonderful – like (for me) this gluten free/dairy free homemade pumpkin bread.
