Self-Confidence Will Come
I read an article the other day about children getting plastic surgery as young as age 9. If I were to give one advice to younger people today I would say, “Just wait.”
When I was younger there were at least eight features about myself I did not like and I was so obsessed with them that every day I could see how they were so ugly and I just hated them. But now they are so much a part of me and I’m so used to them that I don’t even think about it and I feel completely confident about how I look. I even feel very beautiful many days.
When you were young remember that your face and body are changing every year so when you look in the mirror it might be like you are seeing something new every time and this can be hard to get used to.
So you were getting used to your face and then you look in the mere three months from now and you’re getting used to your face again. You may not see the changes but they are subtle and they really do impact the way we look at ourselves.
Can you see the eight flaws I hated about myself when I was younger? Me neither. Just wait and love yourself every day.
