Who Will You Take on Your Journey?
Find a friend to take the journey with. When my daughter was home this summer she shared with me some things she wasn’t happy with about her health & diet. I was starting my own new journey about that time so I included her.
Sometimes it is the support of others that can motivate you and keep you on track. That helped us both. We both had someone to talk to and share meals with who understood. But I was surprised by a side effect – I was actually more motivated by helping her in her journey.
So what helped me the most was not the support but watching her make progress and succeed. I was motivated to stay on track because I wanted to be a good example for HER.
So find a friend, family member, sibling, or even a child to start your new journey with. The benefits may be surprising and may even reach beyond what we experienced.
