Tuesday Tips: Treat Yourself More Than Kindly

These short thoughts/tips are meant to be a brief and efficient way to offer a quick touch of inspiration for the day.

Treat Yourself Like a Princess (or Prince)

Dress up for events, buy yourself a nice purse, paint your nails a pretty color, soak your feet in lavender oil, get a massage or take the time to go to your favorite tea shop and drink your favorite cup of tea in a fancy mug.

It doesn’t matter what you choose to do. I don’t really enjoy getting my nails done a lot but I have friends who look forward to it. Sometimes I find scheduling and showing up to the massage more stressful than the relaxation I am pursuing. But I have a friend who schedules one every month and says she could not live without them. And although I love a good soak in the bath I am allergic to lavender oil.

So what is a “treat” to some may not be to others. Find your own treats. They may even be small things that one would never think of.

For example, It makes me feel like a princess to have nice clean white sheets on my bed just like at a nice hotel. Dressing up is another one of my favorite things to do. Some people I know have commented that they feel uncomfortable in anything but casual clothes. They can’t wait to get home and take out their “going out” clothes. But I never want the evening to end.

I feel like Cinderella who never wants midnight to come. “Princess” moments like this that can give you renewed energy, boost your confidence, make you feel special, give you something to look forward to, and contribute positive healing energy to your life.
