Imagine you had a phlegmatic child who was diagnosed with some kind of Autism— anything ranging from high-functioning to severe? Now imagine, that instead of looking for a miracle cure to wipe out all their “symptoms” you can sort them first— you can take out the ones that “belong” to their temperament and leave some behind to “work on” that seem extreme. This leaves you with a lot less to deal with. Then you take what is left and work on balancing the temperament with diet and herbs and life-style changes and you may not have anything to work on after that. If the child was originally diagnosed with high-functioning autism they may be “cured.” If they had a severe form of autism they may suddenly become highly functional. The same can happen with ADHD, Depression, Bi-Polar Disorder, Anxiety and many more.

Humans were not built to absorb or deal with all the sensory processes that are forced upon them in today’s world. Statistics show that 1 in 20 people are effected by SPD and that is not counting other “disorders” brought upon us by an increasingly complex world like ADD and ADHD, depression and anxiety. If you take all the statistics and you look at all the people you know— ask yourself— how many people do I know that do not have either depression, anxiety, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, anger management issues, ADD or ADHD? The answer for many people is – none.
