Tuesday Tips: Don’t Compromise on Your Well-Being

These short thoughts/tips are meant to be a brief and efficient way to offer a quick touch of inspiration for the day.

Don’t compromise on your well-being

To feel more vibrant, have more energy, and heal imbalances in the body we all need to stop compromising. Have you ever said, “Oh it’s just a little stomach ache”, “I can handle this headache”, “I’ll just take an Advil for this pain”, “Getting hot flashes is normal if I’m 50”, “I’m not as young as I used to be anymore” or, “It’s OK I guess I just don’t have as much energy as I used to?” – these are all forms of compromise.

Another way to check for compromise is to take a few moments to acknowledge the things you usually ignore or have “learned to live with.” Do you always have a bit of a sore knee? Do you often have constipation? Do you have pain with digestion? Severe period cramps? Other small annoyances you ignore?

I’ve found it is not actually hard to give up something when you start to notice how it makes you feel. When you stop compromising on how you feel then looking at some of your “no” foods will make you feel differently. These foods will send you different messages. Once I found out milk chocolate made me itch and have digestive issues it was not difficult to give up at all.

Instead of seeing all this gorgeous chocolate (thank you for all those years I could enjoy it;) and feeling joy I see mounds of stomach issues and endless itching. Not so appetizing anymore. These modified “no compromise” messages make the path to better health much easier.
