Question from Member: How is reproductive health discussed in Waldorf education? – O.A

(Note: There is a book called “Let’s Talk” written by a Waldorf teacher that covers this topic and is included in the Earthschooling curriculum from sixth grade onwards. It can also be purchased individually on the website here)

Response from Diane: Normally reproductive health is brought in 7th grade along with physiology. I know a few teachers who used Coming of Age by Linda Knodle as a resource. Usually there is a meeting with parents to prepare them and allow them to ask questions and know what will be presented beforehand. That being said I also know of classes where the mothers had a day with their daughters to celebrate becoming women.
